Re: Red Light Cameras - Mississauga

If more than one car end up in the picture, I'll bet neither will get a ticket. Just wait and see what comes in the mail.

P.S. Don't start questioning your driving ability until you start having accidents. Tickets are just paper. Wrecks are the real problem.

Re: DOH!

If I put my wife on the stand to ask her just one specific question, does that then open the door for the prosecution to ask other, unrelated questions?

(was the #$!%'n plane, btw)

Um, how old will I be when I don't get "the giggles" any more? I can't stop picturing this scene, LMAO. (oh, I'm a baaaad man)

Yes, I agree 100% with RI. She crashed herself. We were taught as children to WALK our bikes across the road for this exact reason.

You can try to negotiate with the prosecutor down to 15 over. Have a good sob story ready ;)

Re: 111 in an 80 zone - Nasty Officer

I think she's been watching "Jacked" too much, what with the blockade style takedown and all!

Just so you know, my most recent ticket was for 32 over and the cop said nothing but "here's your ticket for speeding. There's options on the back". You were just unfortunate enough to get one on a power trip (or other biological anomaly).

Don't let it ...

Re: FAIL TO SIGN OWNERSHIP $110

Sign the ownership and take it to the Crown (at the court office address on ticket). Tell him you are very sorry and ask if he could kindly drop the charge.

Weird. Well plead not-guilty and request disclosure. Would be very interested in seeing the officers notes on this one.

Re: failiure to drive within a marked lane

Just to clarify... You hit him when you turned to the left into the oncoming traffic lanes? Had he cleared your side of the road? Would he have cleared your lane if you had just braked in a straight line?

I just can't figure out why YOU were charge :?

Turning left when it is not safe to do so is also illegal. Insurance "might" consider a 50/50 split.

Not sure how his passenger side hit your driver side :?

Re: 144(18) - should I plead not quilty?

No. Don't plead guilty. Plead Not-Guilty and check "officer to be present" on the back of your ticket. Take it to the court house at address on ticket (make a copy for your records) and wait for a court date.
