I was wondering if anyone could tell me about parking enforcement related to handicapped/accessible parking spots on private property of a business that is closed and currently for sale. I understand that cities have permission to enforce the The H.T.A. Ont Reg with respect to private property at the owner's request/permission. I also understand that city by-laws may have an impact on the enforcement. Does the spirit of law cover businesses no longer in operation? Is there any case law? Thanks !!

There was a handicapped sign above an exit door but no other markings. I am not sure if the signs meet the criteria of the O-Reg. It's an old movie theater with no other local businesses nearby. Court is next week! :p
