Multiple cars - can my car spotted by mistake

Unread post by goodboy »

Got ticketed on 401 Westbound on zone 128 last week. I was following a large double truck and changed lanes. aT that time two similar SUVs tail gated me. To avoid collision, I raised to cover the double truck. At one point there were 3 similar looking cars on the lanes in very close promixity. I got pulled over and ticketed for going at 139. Can speed devices distinguish clearly between cars in close proximity? I don't have a speeding ticket in 24 years and i am a boring driver. Is there room for "reasonable doubt" Appreciate the input

Re: Multiple cars - can my car spotted by mistake

If all the cars were travelling at the same speed, they could use the defense that all cars were traveling 139 km/h. As for the 24 year clean record, don't quote me on this, but it doesn't mean anything. It all depends if the officer depends to show up in court. If s/he doesn't, just say "I didn't do it" and they have no evidence on you and dismiss the ticket.
