Multiple Cars - Can My Car Spotted By Mistake

by: goodboy on

Got ticketed on 401 Westbound on zone 128 last week. I was following a large double truck and changed lanes. aT that time two similar SUVs tail gated me. To avoid collision, I raised to cover the double truck. At one point there were 3 similar looking cars on the lanes in very close promixity. I got pulled over and ticketed for going at 139.

Can speed devices distinguish clearly between cars in close proximity? I don't have a speeding ticket in 24 years and i am a boring driver. Is there room for "reasonable doubt"

Appreciate the input

If all the cars were travelling at the same speed, they could use the defense that all cars were traveling 139 km/h. As for the 24 year clean record, don't quote me on this, but it doesn't mean anything. It all depends if the officer depends to show up in court. If s/he doesn't, just say "I didn't do it" and they have no evidence on you and dismiss the ticket.
