Someone hit my mom's car under the underground parking

Someone hit my mom's car under the underground parking , video captured before he hits because Dashcam will be off when your car is off, that pickup truck was the only one near our car and we saw his trail track reverse into our car, got pictures, unfortunately our Cheap Dashcam could not show a clear video clip to see his Licence Plate, but we ...

Re: Charged With Stunt Driving - my outcome/advice

Thanks for sharing ! i ran an amber light (yellow) 5 years ago, got pulled over with $110 ticket 2 demerit points, hired X-Copper because my Company was busy at that time, so i could not take those days off, i've paid $350 +tax to X-Copper just to go fight for the demerit point or take a good plea deal, 2 days after they called me and told me to go ...

Re: Red Light Camera Ticket - not my car

I just paid my Red light camera ticket ya 325$ , in my opinion i don't think they cares who own the car or who was driving the car, it's your job to keep your car or licence plate, what you can do now is go to that Mechanic Shop and ask who drove his car and ran red light camera, but if you wanna go to court instead i think you need a lot of ...

Maybe ask your broker (and a couple of new ones since not all brokers deal with all insurance companies) to quote you a hypothetical rate with a new ins co to see if you can get similar premium if you take a plea. Some insurance companies will give you a free ticket.

Re: 44km/h over - 5 Great Questions Inside :)

Hey guys, I got some great advice so far on here, thought I would pick your brain a bit more :)

I was pulled over doing 44 over, the cop set up a trap on highway 7 right where the speed limit changes from 80 to 60. This was my first offense, he did not reduce it.

I have an early resolution setup next week, I don't have any disclosure or notes ...

Re: Is all speeding equal?

Speeding is an absolute liability offense. Short of travelling to an emergency room or escaping some sort of violent situation, there's no excuse for it.

No, "proving the car behind you was basically tail gating you" is not a defense. You can't argue safety by making the situation more deadly by engaging in a speeding duel.

The driver behind you ...

Re: Question about Red Light Camera on Highway 7 and Bathurs

There are two provincial offences offices in York Region. I'm not sure which one applies in your case so I posted the numbers for both. I would double check the fine print on the ticket though, usually they have their contact info on there somewhere. If there is nothing on the ticket, try calling both offices and see which one is the right one ...

Above the pictures, it should say amber and have a number. What does it say?

checked the paper, it said Amber 5.1 s Red 1.2 s , so it was the Sun to blame + i missed it when i was changing lane, they should reduce speed to 60km/h in that area. i've been driven for 15 years this is my 1st time running red light.

May i ask, if i don't have to to ...

Re: Question about Red Light Camera on Highway 7 and Bathurs

In my opinion the lights were indeed amber. It's more noticeable on the left turn traffic signal, but your video is the equivalent of a bigfoot sighting.

Another tip off is the vehicle beside you looks to decelerate at approximately 3-4 seconds before the light turns red, which just happens to be the length most amber lights at set at.

If I had ...

SOrry, i'm talking about Insurance's side of charge, not Court, Court is between driver and the Police, as you can see his insurance already said 50/50 weather you fight or not both drivers premium will be increased, if it not a major damage i would put Insurance and Police ...

Interesting case. I believe they can arrest or charge you anywhere if they really sure about it, for example if the Robber ran into that house, they don't need warrant to enter that house to catch that Robber, they will break in ! Cops sometimes happy sometimes miserable,

usually they won't act tough if you don't act weird they won't use force if ...

If cops came to the scene you can't win this ticket, you should have dealt with other driver and not involve the insurance company nor Cops, Insurance will do an internal investigate if there wasn't cop involved otherwise they will Judge by the police reports, there are drivers DO FRAUD INSURANCE in Ontario, you better becareful.

I've seen a light go from green to red, but it was because the bulb was blown out for yellow on both (other side had a yellow.)

Blown bulb won't show any light at 3-5 seconds at the time, Red light turns from RED to Yellow or Green in 1 second, the Yellow Light which is Amber Warning give you 3-5 seconds warning before it goes RED, i'm not ...

If there was no amber light, then clearly you had no warning that it was going to change to red and could not slow down. This is also very dangerous as this is not how lights are supposed to operate.

I would fight the ticket and take the video with you to court. Make sure you put the video on an external USB stick and bring a laptop that it will ...

For red light camera tickets, it is the OWNER of the vehicle that is charged not the driver, so there are no demerits and no insurance increase.
