Question On 175 (11) Changed To 175 (19) In Early Resolution Meeting

Unread post by Shades268 »

Hi all,

In November I passed a school bus and got hit with 175 (11). I went into an early resolution meeting with a prosecutor today and had my charge changed to 175 (19). They told me that this means I no longer have demerit points for the offence, but it is still a conviction. My question is, will this show up on my driver's abstract for my insurance company when it's time to renew? Google is giving me a few different answers.

Thanks!

Nope. That is the charge they give someone when they have a plate number but no idea who is driving the vehicle. The ticket then goes to the owner of the plate, like a parking ticket does. When you don't pay, you can't renew your plate stickers.
