I Missed My Early Resolution Meeting, What Should I Do?

Unread post by jsnchn »

Hello Traffic Ticket fighting guru!

I had missed my early resolution meeting 7 days ago. I thought it was today...

What is my advice here?

it was for 4 tickets: speeding +10 km/h, failing to surrender license, ownership and insurance.

I was really hoping to get the latter 3 dropped because i just forgot my wallet that day.

Your answer is much appreciated.

You will either get a conviction notice in the mail or you will not hear anything.

If you get a conviction notice, you can go to the court and apply for a reopening.

If you do not hear anything, that means a justice of the peace quashed the ticket due to an unfixable error on the ticket.

I would call the court house ASAP and see if they have gotten a default judgment against you yet. If they haven't then you may be able to reschedule the meeting or plead not guilty and set a date for trial. If they have gotten a judgment against you then you should do what Whenaxis said in their post.

Thank you for the advice. I will post an update when I visit them tomorrow.
