Got a ticket today for the above violation....

Cop didnt want to reduce it.

I took it to court today....

Either way, im screwed because even if the judge takes off the points, speeding is still going to be on my record.....

Any good excuses?

The judge can't take off the points. They are administratively added by the MTO after a conviction is registered. So you automatically get the number of points associated with the speed you are convicted of. If it's 18 over you'll get 3. If you can get it reduced by the crown to 15 over, you'll get 0 points.

NOTHING I SAY ON HERE IS LEGAL ADVICE.

Speeding is an absolute liability offence, meaning why you committed the offence is pretty much irrelevant.

If you're worried about points, request a first attendance meeting with the Crown. I'm quite sure they'd be willing to reduce it to 15 over with a guilty plea, meaning you'd have no points.
