Re: MISSPELLED NAME ON 33 KM OVER SPEEDING TICKET
1.) To force the fatal error by not responding to the ticket at all. Don't give the Prosecution any chance to amend the certificate and correct the error(s). Forcing the fatal errors means you don't reply to the ticket at all (i.e. don't request a trial, don't contact the officer or prosecution, etc.).....correct? Yes 2.) I'll have to phone the ...

Re: MISSPELLED NAME ON 33 KM OVER SPEEDING TICKET
Misspelt name is not a fatal error, however your set & total fine appear to be in error.
Set Fine = $6 x 33 = $198
Victim Surcharge = $35
Court Fee = $5
Total Fine = $238
Search up London v. Young and go the forced fatal error route.

Re: 90 in 70 zone reduced to 80-fight or not
In York region the cost was free, I sent in my request on Apr 2013 and received the plan & profile information on Sep 2013. Unfortunately for me, the details also came too late and well after my trial.

Re: Offense: Fail to drive in marked lane
I do this frequently myself. What section and subsection is cited on the ticket? I've scoured the rules of the road looking for a section that would apply. I even searched for 'marked lane' and couldn't find anything that could be used in this circumstance. http://www.ontariocourts.ca/ocj/how-do-i/set-fines/set-fines-i/schedule-43/

@QuaidStur, see ON Reg 455/07 to see how the legislature defined stunt driving: http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/english/elaws_regs_070455_e.htm[quote]Definition, "stunt"
For the purposes of section 172 of the Act, "stunt" includes any activity where one or more persons engage in any of the following driving behaviours:

Re: HEAVY TRUCK
I'm also interested in this, because I've seen what appears to be heavy trucks even dump trucks do U-Turns when they approach 'No Trucks Sign'. I've also seen them pull over with their hazard lights and simulate fake breakdowns as soon as they see police officers. But I've never seen our local police stop these trucks for disobeying the sign.

Re: Ticket In RIDE program?
You're much better off buying front a license plate bracket, keep the receipt; take lots of pictures of your car with the plate installed. Explain why you had your license plate unattached to the prosecutor. There is a real chance the prosecutor may actually withdraw the charge.

The courts actually have a grace period of 20-30days for defendants to respond. After about 20-30days you should contact the court/ticket-office and inquire about the status of your ticket.

Forget that link, just go to the ticket office where you filed your ticket for trial; they will take your transcript request. The costs depends on how much was actually said during the adjournment; if it was a few minutes than you're going to spend less than $20 for three copies.

You'll have to make an appearance for your summons. Some jurisdictions will have disclosure ready for you at the summons; you can also separately request for additional disclosure once the trial date is available.
