How exactly were you stereotyped by the officer?
He thanked me when I pulled over, thinking I was going to run.... called my bike a crotch rocket that young guys speed with while in court.... and said in court that there was heavy traffic, but he chose to follow me, even though when he origionally started to follow me, I was not doing anything ...

Anyone have any idea when the decision will be? I thought it was supposed to by the end of this month (February).

Well clearly there is more to the story than what your telling us. Where did this other mythical person (who was driving the car) disappear to while you changed the tire and the Police rolled up?

Re: Need Advice - Suspended licence though not driving
Well "technically" a conviction would be a sure thing if you were driving. You'll have to come up with a reason how you and your car got on the side of the highway. So if you were driving, because you never clarified if you were or were not, its up to a JP to decide if your explanation is reasonable.

Re: Scenario - thoughts
I would go with disobey stop sign fail to stop. I think disobey stop sign- stop wrong place would be reserved for someone that stops after the stop line in your example. Either way if this were to go to court its a 50/50 chance of conviction regardless of which charge you write. Frankly you could probably write either one.

Re: Failure to Stop ..... under HTA 128 ??? - COURT TODAY!
Easiest in my opinion is to request a trial and not show up. The JP will quash it based on the incorrect section (assuming they are not asleep at that time)

7(5)(a) is the correct section for that offence.

Re: legitamate ticket? help please!
Your explanation won't help you. You'll be found guilty. To play Devils advocate couldn't you just have moved to the other lane and let the following vehicle pass?
What many don't realize is the speed limit is the speed limit regardless of what you are doing. Take for example passing a vehicle on a two lane country road. If the speed limit is ...

Re: Out of range LIDAR?
How do you know thats what LIDAR the officer was using? If it was mounted on a tripod the range will be better. How the officer got you to pull over is not an area of interest to the court.

Re: Police Notes
Notes are a way for the people who got caught to try and find a loophole to get out of the charge. Thats what I think.
I'm with bear; HIS notes to refresh HIS memory. Nothing more. Why is it the defendant can get up and testify from his or her memory but when the officer does, it its not OK?
You need to remember that Police work is the same as ...
