Hmm how do you know he wasn't on duty? Why do you say that?
Also, what section of the OHTA does the ticket say you violated?

Re: FTY
Was this a 4 way intersection? with 4 way stop?
If not the truck doesn't have to yield, because she was at the stop sign, and she would have had to make sure its clear traffic before she turned. Not the other way around.

Re: Snow removal
I'm not really sure what you mean by this.
As for snow removal, I think you would have to check with your local municipal laws. Every city would have their own snow removal laws and guidelines.
However, the OHTA would regulate the snow removal vehicle.

Re: Failing to Stop for a red (Appraoching)
Yea I agree with Bookm.
If you could have stopped on the Amber then by law you are required to, or if you think you can make it through then continue with caution, while making sure it doesn't turn red before you finish crossing.
I think your best bet here is a plea bargain, as the cop probably saw the whole thing and will testify that he saw you ...

Re: New law
That is a misconception as the Autobahn does indeed have speed limits.
The speed limits are per lane. Every lane has its own designated minimum speed limit and max speed limit.
If you want to go 220 km/h then you must stick to the one designated lane. It doesn't mean you can criss cross throughout the lanes.
Also, the Autobahn is mostly a ...

I think for this type of information you should call the court office, and find out the procedure.

Re: New law
Yes, obviously speeding alone is not a reason for accidents, but it is one of the MAIN contribution to accidents.
Some people speed all the time...
How does this affect the road?
You simply are not going the same speed as other cars, because they are following the speed limit, and by you speeding, you are actually creating more problems with ...

Re: Question regarding Disobaying signs ticket
I got a ticket well two (one for sticker 5 days after my birthday) on Sat. My question is from looking at the HTA online at http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_90h08_e.htm it looks like the officer made a mistake on the ticket. My ticket says "disobey sign" as the offence and sec/art 106(3). Sec/art 106 (3) on that ...

Re: Following too closely charges
I think you can definitely beat this!
There is NO proof you were following too closely. The police was not at the scene when this happened, therefore how are they going to give actual proof to this incident in court? They cant, because they have none! The ticket is based on the speculation and judgment of the police at the scene, but that is not ...

Re: New law
How? Police statistics are based on how many they recorded per year!!
So its not like they sat around drinking coffee and decided to just make up stats lol!
And sorry, I didn't see your links. But most of them are for American highways, which is interesting seeing we are in Ontario, Canada.
That is because if you read statistics for places like ...

Re: New law
I'm not sure how or where your getting your facts from, but if you watch any news or listen to police briefings, they will tell you that SPEEDING is the #1 cause of accidents in Ontario.
We're not talking about small fender benders either, but major ones which cause serious injury or death. Here is some fact supported by most police departments ...
