yeah...nothing like signalling and pulling onto the shoulder and stopping to do the test
Never heard of an insulin pump or a chocolate bar I see.
What I was trying to get at was people very soon will be able to just look at their smart phones and know what their levels are instantly via wireless sensor or sub-dermal needle.

Re: Failure to stop for a school bus
My mom was a bus driver and I helped her out a few times as a kid. Usually when a driver blows through the red lights and it's a public school bus then they'll get a bus patroller or someone to write the plate number down so it can be reported.

Re: Blog of a Former Police Officer
I've got what may be a dumb question here but I'm putting it out there any ways. Why are there speed limits (MAXIMUM) and not speed ranges. No matter where you go the speed on any given highway fluctuates. On most 400 series I'd hazard a guess of about 30 over for average highway speed on a fast day, and yet most officers will let this go if it's ...

Ha, you think it's ridiculous now?

What if the passenger is doing something on a smart phone that has a big screen? Iphone, Ipad etc...
Would that be a ticket too?

Yes. But think of it more as a hypothetical question.
The night I was hit the cop went straight to the guy who hit me and asked for his version of events. Then right after I got a ticket.

Forced to abandon appeal.
Hey guys. If you want the back story here is the thread.
http://www.ontariohighwaytrafficact.com/topic1999.html
Anyways to summarize all that's been happening to me so far
1) I got into a car accident and was ticketed.
2) I turned left in an intersection when the light turned red. (yes, I was already in the intersection when it was green.)

Re: Need Advice on Charter Rights - Should I file for a stay?
I had a case in Barrie that took only 10 months coming into the light and I successfully agrued an 11b. Naturally I think Barrie isn't as backed up as Toronto so that may have helped but if I were fighting a case like yours I'd jump all over that 11b arguement.

Re: Left Turn, 141(5), Planning a win.
Apparenly my optimism was short sighted. I went to court last week and I flat out lost. As well I feel like I was taken adventage of over and over again. Here's how it went:
1) In my disclosure I asked for the names and information of the witnesses who were to attend my trial. I was told olny myself and the officer.
2) I showed up and there was 3 ...

Re: My successful 11b carter motion
Not enough time for all trials.
They told me there is a way to fight it and it is 11b application - prejudice to the accused.
That is exactly what happened to myself in my first trial. YES, by all means follow through with an 11b charter motion. I was in Barrie and it took 10.5 months from tickiting to final trial and the Justice thought it was ...

Go to www.ticketcombat.com and look for it.
Alot of this information is just a re-verbalization of what has been posted there for Ontarians to use.
Jump to STEP 4. Look down the right side coulomb and find the documents tab. There you will find a 4F, a Factum, and an affidavit example (well a few, actually).

Hmmm, well I was told that the only witness present in court (other than myself) would be the officer.
Are they required to have a witness that was present at the scene in order to obtain a conviction?
As well the one witness who told me that the other driver accelerated to try and make the light does not have a witness statement. I was ...

Ok so I have not found anybody here with success on this charge yet, although I may be wrong. My trial is coming up soon so here is what I am planning.

Re: Out of range LIDAR?
Ok so here is how it went last Friday. I went into the courthouse without any disclosure so the only thing I could do is ask for an adjournment to the next SOONEST possible date. When asked why I told the JP that I had not received my disclosure yet. I also told her that I was in the Provincial Offenses Office a week before to pick it up and it was ...
