Yes I saw that.
My particular intersection has the stop sign basically as close to both roads as possible, it is maybe 2" off the curb. There is a plenty of grass on that corner there that the stop sign could have been erected in. You'd think if someone ran a sign like that they could just take a picture, with some measurements, and be done with ...

Re: If a stop sign doesn't meet the regulations, is it valid?
Sorry, I was looking at an outdated version of the sign act. Now looking at this on:
http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/english/elaws_regs_900615_e.htm#BK2
I see:
7. A stop sign shall be erected on the right side of the highway, facing approaching traffic, at a point not less than 1.5 metres and not more than 15 metres from the intersecting ...

If a stop sign doesn't meet the regulations, is it valid?
I don't have a ticket or anything but I stumbled across the Regulations for signs after reading another thread. The link was this:
http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/english/elaws_regs_900615_ev001.htm
So I looked over it out of curiosity and found something interesting in the stop sign section:

Re: Just received my disclosure in the mail.
Well it's all over.
I showed up, the cop didn't. It's very disappointing as I wanted him on the stand, I still have no clue as to his motivation for giving me the ticket. I planned on drilling him for a while then at the end just pointing out they had not proven the bylaw exists or that I was the registered owner.
Oh well.
I'll say one thing ...

Re: We're not unfairly complaining about congestion
Cities get all bunged up because there's no flow in the design. 2 way streets everywhere and an intersection in spitting distance of the next intersection and the option to turn in any direction at every intersection. Then the highways have an on-ramp every half kilometer so you get people merging on and slowing everything down just so they can ...

Re: The law
Amazing. Before this I had never heard of anyone charged with going too slow. I personally find it more annoying and much more dangerous when someone does 15 below the limit than 15 above.
At this point they should just give you a ticket for going the speed limit... because your only choices from there are to go faster and be speeding or slow down ...

Re: Can they use it if they don't disclose it?
That's pretty much what I gathered from searching.
But, if they don't disclose something major, what do I do? Say right then and there that this was never disclosed, or would have I have to get convicted then appeal and then point out I couldn't make a full answer because such and such was not disclosed.

Re: Just received my disclosure in the mail.
Ok, but I bet after at least two trial dates (the cop stuck in court for 2 mornings) and being bothered for disclosure over a $20 parking fine they damn well won't give me a future ticket that I don't deserve!
It's really not about the $20. Maybe I'll lose the trial and be found guilty... I don't care. But there is no way in hell that I'll ever ...

Can they use it if they don't disclose it?
Got long-window with my original question and posted it in the wrong forum, so here goes again:
If you file for disclosure, asking for everything relevant (like on the ticketcombat form), and receive disclosure, can the prosecution use anything against you in trial that has not been disclosed?
If I've asked for everything relevant, and they've ...

Re: Help with Right of Way argument....
I've always been confused when there is a pedestrian.
I may stop at a 4-way and have to wait for a pedestrian.
If it's an older person then a lot of action can happen at the other 3 stops before my way is clear again.
Once that pedestrian is gone it is now my turn over everyone else's?
I think it should be but the other cars never seem to agree...

Re: Earth Day...
Speaking of the earth and hours, I read recently that they did a study in one of the states that's recently gone to daylight savings time (they didn't observe it before). I think Indiana. The result being that it actually caused more electricity usage. The reason being that, unlike when DST was first introduced, we are now in a world where almost ...

Re: Just received my disclosure in the mail.
Ok I know it's just $20 but with two days off work already and gas (court is in another city) I'm sure I'm down $400 by now.
But I decided to fight this and I want to do it as best as I can. Let's just pretend its a $2500 fine. In my opinion this is like taking a black eye because it's more honorable than simply handing lunch money over to the ...

Just received my disclosure in the mail.
Hey everyone. Back last summer I got a parking ticket for being within 3m of a fire hydrant. Funny thing is, I parked (in my estimation) at least far enough away from it, deliberately. There were no markings on the pavement but I can't believe I was within 10 feet of that thing (sorry I suck at metric.)
It's only $20 but I was ticked off 'cause I ...
