Received four tickets (at once) in New York State. I am aware that Ontario has a reciprocal agreement with New York State. None of my offences appear to transfer to Ontario demerit points as per: http://www.ontario.ca/driving-and-roads ... rit-points But how do I know which offences will transfer to my Ontario driver's abstract? Thanks.

Any ticket issued under New York State's Vehicle and Traffic Law will appear on your Ontario Driver's Abstract as long as there is an equivalent offence in the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. Even if there are no points attached to the offence there will still be an entry on your driver's abstract. Tickets issued under a county or municipal bylaw will not show on your record in Ontario.

What you linked to were offenses that carry demerit points. These will transfer to your abstract as if you committed them in Ontario. If the out-of-province traffic act calls for more/less points than the equivalent Ontario HTA offense, it won't matter here. If the offense is 4 points in New York and 3 points in Ontario, you'll have 3 points on your abstract and not 4. That being said, the offense doesn't need to have points to transfer over. There was a list of offenses that could be transferred, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.
