Failing To Yield The Right-of-way

Unread post by turboCC »

So I was in a car with a friend of mine, who was driving. We stopped at a 2 way stop sign at a 4 way intersection. Then my friend, for some reason, thought it was a four way stop sign and began to proceed. While from the other end a school bus was driving through. The bus driver had to push his brakes hard, and honked at us for an extended duration. Visibly shaken up from the incident, my friend decided to drive on. But it seems the bus driver had stopped, and was recording the license plate number. Keep in mind, the bus wasn't stopping at the intersection for a routine stop and did not have his/her stop sign/lights on display.

What can my friend expect from the incident? Chances the bus driver noted down the plate number? Expected fine? Points?

There will not likely be any contact but his license may have been tagged.

Tell him to be care full for the next while.
