Picking the car up from impound, BIG PROBLEM
I have a question, as ive recieved a 7 day impound, the 7 days passed and when i went to get a release paper from York Regional police, they wouldnt give it to me as the car is not in my name!!
the problem is that the cars registered owner wont be in a country for another month, so i dont know what to do now, as i dont want to pay the impound fees for over 37 days!!
Please someone help me, what can i do???

Contact the police service and see if there is any type of documentation the owner can provide that would allow you to retrieve the vehicle. Policy will vary from one service to the next, and you may be out of luck. They have no legal obligation to return the vehicle to you if you're not the owner.
