License Condition "x" Question

by: Plenderzoosh on

My girlfriend isn't really the best driver (has hit a few stationary items in her driving career yet has managed to stay away from any ticket/insurance increase). Now today she hit somebody in a parking lot and wasn't wearing her glasses. The man she hit said not to worry about the damage. My question is how much trouble can you get in for not wearing corrective lenses while driving when you are required to do so?

It would be a violation of the licence and the driver can not drive any further until the condition has been brought into compliance.

Above is merely a suggestion/thought and in no way constitutes legal advice or views of my employer. www.OHTA.ca

 that's all? She would just have had to get her glasses and she could drive again? That seems like a surprisingly light punishment and somewhat scary to me. I know I really wouldn't want to drive without glasses/contacts for my own sake and the sake of others.
