Re: Anyone knows anything about subpoenas?
I'm still not clear on your strategy. I suggest you start with requesting the second officer's notes (through disclosure).

Re: Failure to update address on license ticket?
The officer would have no way of knowing where you live unless you told him something to warrant the charge:
Example 1:
Officer: Do you live here?
You: Yes.
Officer: That's not what it says on your licence.
Example 2:
Officer: Is the address on your licence correct?
You: No.
Officer: Here's a ticket for you.
Either way the question remains ...

Re: Stop Sign ticket question
Check out R. v. Andrews about having a passenger testify with contradictory evidence.
Also check out R. v. Stokes where the justice misclassified the charge as an absolute liability offence (very common mistake). It's also good for it's summary of the officer's testimony and evidence you should expect to be fighting.

Re: Pet Peeves
When I was in high school I toured the parliament buildings. They had these little green buses that shuttled MPs and bureaucrats between buildings. When the bus behind wanted to go, they would just bump the bus in front. Hilarious. Don't know if they still do it or if anyone claimed whiplash by now.

Re: license plates
Section 7 of the HTA requires plates to be displayed in the "prescribed manner" in accordance with the regulations which can found in Reg 628 , specifically section 9 (3):
The number plates for a motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle or a motor assisted bicycle, shall be attached to and exposed in a conspicuous position on the front and rear of ...

Re: Failure to Ensure Passenger Wearing Seat Belt for G2 Driver
Hold on a sec. No seatbelt (passenger) carries 2 demerit points and a warning letter from MTO for G1/G2 drivers. Why was her license suspended? Did you read the letter wrong or does she have other convictions?

Re: Anyone knows anything about subpoenas?
I'm not that familiar with this area of compelling witnesses to attend court (my experience is fewer witnesses, better outcomes!). But here's a brief primer.
* A subpoena is a document that requires a person to go to court as a witness in order to give testimony.
* A summons is a document issued by a court, agency, board or commission, or ...

Re: proceed contrary to sign at intersection 144(9)...2009
This one was bugging me so I hauled myself over to the law library and looked up the case law. There isn't any. The only thing that exists are the transcripts of the trial decision and the appeal.
So let's set this up properly. The defendant is a lawyer. Her lawyer is an articling lawyer working for the firm. So lawyer defendant and lawyer rep ...
