correct the hydrant was not clearly visible as it is in the bushes. You can only see it if you park across it and turn you head around to see it.
Isnt there a law/by-law which states that the authorities should do everything possible to make the hydrant visible to drivers?

Re: Parking 3M of Firehydrant
You are suggesting to show to the prosecutor the pictures before the trial starts and argue there were no visible signs pointing to the fire hydrant?
Do you know the statute/regulation that requires clear markings pointing towards the fire hydrant?
Thx

Parking 3M of Firehydrant
Hi,
I got this ticket last year in toronto and received court date recently.
Basically I parket on a street where there are marked spots for car parking but they were all faded with only the white edges showing. I assumed I was in the correct spot when I got out. I never noticed the fire hydrant in the bushes.

Re: section 32 (9)
I got my driver's abstract today.
No only no demerit points but no record of offence.
I actually paid the ticket back in early June.
What does it mean?

Re: section 32 (9)
OK got you.
I could lead to suspension. Since in my case it did not, then there is no way it would appear as a suspension on my driver abstract.
It would be insteresting to see what it shows up on the abstract in my case, since it was a plea deal.
Thanks for your replies Simon

Re: section 32 (9)
In that case, what if was really a seatbelt violation. Surely its not suspension, then on the driver record it would show as conviction for "Drive in contravention of licence conditions under 32(9)" and not "novice licence suspension".
If there is no suspension, why would it show the word "suspension" on the driver abstract.

Re: section 32 (9)
Sounds like you got a pretty good deal.
I don't believe a novice suspension is considered an "administrative licence suspension", but the classification isn't really important. It does show up on your driving record as a "novice licence suspension".
yea good deal i guess, and will not happen again.

Re: section 32 (9)
So you got convicted of violating one of the conditions of your licence...I'm guessing you are either required to wear glasses or have a novice licence. If it's a novice condition it can be considered fairly serious for your record and insurance premiums. Novice violations can also generate a driver's licence suspension by the MTO, depending on ...

Re: G2 BAC Above Zero
Interesting you guys seem to agree the 3,7,30 day suspension is administrative and cannot be used by insurance unless it has been administered by the court.
On the other side, if I declare this on a new insurance application, then it will automatically increase premium. How would you guys go about this? Tell the insurance company, I have a 3-day ...

Re: G2 BAC Above Zero
I infer an insurance company can query your record for the past 5 years.
Similar to minor speeding tickets stay on your record for 3 yrs, i would have thought it would be the same for a suspension.
What I dont understand (and cannot find the answer anywhere) is that when an insurance company query a driver's record, they will see that 3 day ...
