First I wanted to thank each one of you for the great forum, everything can happen on the road and the rule #1 is follow the rules and be extra careful ( i am always trying and tried this time but it didnt work - will be even more careful next time)!!!

interesting, before my friend had a trial obviously he wasnt convicted, however , while he was waiting, he had his insurance renew and so it went up.....he contacted them and they said that this is because of the license that was roadside suspended......maybe he didnt understand something or maybe I am wrong......sorry anyways if I made a mistake ...

very interesting a month and a half passed and the Brief hasnt been delivered to the Crown??? is there a possibility that this simply got lost? because of 2 different policy people and initially wrong date?

I assume when I go back to meet with prosecutor in July, if there is still no Brief, the date will be postponed ...

and another thing, the officer who at the accident scene was male and the officer who gave me the first "incorrectly dated" summons was lady, so when I received the new summons given delivered to the house by some other policemen, there was a name of the lady (same one that gave me the first summons), however there was anywhere a name mentioned of ...

but from what I understand the officers dont even have to be on the trial as they havent witnessed the accident, is that true?

another thing, the prosecutor told that they cannot even convict me on offence without brief if hypothetically I would of wanted to plead guilty for careless.....is that also true?

I was at the courthouse today and prosecutor didnt have my "brief" - I believe is the same as disclosure?

so they said that they cannot do any early resolution without the brief and changed the court date to end of July .....

very strange, because initially they gave me a summons date to Victoria day, then the policemen ...

so as it sounds at this point they wont even ask about what happened? no investigation? nothing? so until the trial (if there is) they are fully satisfied with what they see from the policy report?
