Emily, I wouldn't worry too much about your situation---just be honest and tell them exactly what you've shared on this site. Show up with your shoes on so that they can see for themselves and tell them about your driving history and of course your driver's training. I'm sure everyone will immediately agree that you should be given another chance ...

Ummm. Exactly how many accidents have you been in. From your post I see at least four. Plus a couple of in due care in Europe and a back g on a highway.

And you claim to be a good driver. Your actually a very poor driver. Your record you posted shows that.

What arguments should I use for defence? For the first I was thinking of trying to reduce to following to closely and explaining that the car had just overtaken me and stopped (he said he thought he saw an animal but there wasn't one). Also saying that footwear was not an issue.

I still believe the prosecutor will plea bargain with you in an effort to avoid a trial. You still have a chance with highwaystar's "guardian angel" option.

Sometimes you got to know a lost cause when you see it. Even if you got 2 follow too closelies (which I doubt you'd be so lucky to be offered after they find out you ALSO backed up on a highway in another incident after being charged with careless twice!), you'll still be called in for an interview with Ministry.

Is there any point in requesting trial or should I just pay it? I personally don't think this one will stand much chance, its the other tickets that I think can be reduced or removed. This is just 2 points anyway.

You have shown a complete disregard for the safety of other drivers----2 careless driving, a couple texting offences, plus backing on a highway and still only in your 20's! Yet, somehow you STILL think you should be driving.

Forgot to mention I was caught around 2 or 3 times texting but got no points for that ages ago and I think just got a verbal warning for 1. Some of this in other provinces if I'm not mistaken.

This is very stressful I had a nice record for so long and suddenly a plethora of points. Even my sister got a huge and very clearly unfair ticket a week ...

Also for accident 1 after they made me demonstrate pressing pedals, they told me to show them using the stiletto part to push the pedal and I think they filmed or took photos of this. While doing it with the stiletto part only (which is not how I drive), it slipped or I couldn't press fully for around 50% of the tries.

Do they have a record of all accidents I've had since I've started driving even where I didn't get tickets?

I got 6 points for careless driving twice and 2 points for backing on highway. Hopefully I can reduce those.
