***UPDATE***
I requested detailed disclosure including manual, typed officer notes.

My trial date is in 3 weeks, the 2 questions I have:
Is it possible to challange that particular radar device and how ?

I think your son could be in heaps of trouble so he should thank god and the easy going lady, pay the total costs and then some and be happy with that, borrow moneyif you or he has to and get it over with without involving insurance.

Re: Detailed Disclosure Request for Radar Gun Ticket
Thanks, one more question, do I send the disclosure request to the Prosecutor's Office at the address given on the Notice of Trial ?
I am asking because I sent the original Trial Request to the City of Barrie,ON and the actual TN came with a different address of a court in Churchill,ON

Detailed Disclosure Request for Radar Gun Ticket
I got a ticket clocked by OPP with a radar gun parked on a side of the road in the middle of the night inside his cruiser.
The officer was alone parked on the side of a 2 lane highway in pitch black darkness if that matters.
What is the most detailed disclosure I can request based on that ?
TY

Well it is a vacation, a relative bought tickets for the entire family last minute without consulting with us first.jsherk wrote:As long as it is not a vacation, they should give you a new trial date.
Does that change things ?

Trial Date in 5 days , can I request adjournement ?
I have my trial date 5 days from today, an unexpected trip has come up and I have to leave in 2 days and be back in 10 days.
Can I simply go to court office in person and request a new trial date ? Would they accommodate such request on a short notice like this ?

Speeding ticket reduced - best strategy ?
I got a speeding ticket , officer showed me his radar gun clocked at 118km in 80 zone, I didn't say anything gave him my paperwork and he went back to the cruiser, came back with a 20 over ticket.
My understanding is that if this goes to trial, they will amend the speed back up to the original radar reading in his notes.
So what is the best ...

Re: Filing for 11B - Time Limits ?
jsherk,
thanks for the reply, that's what I suspected, is it even worth to file for 11B if the actual time from trial date request to the trial will be only 6 months ? Would JP even consider it ?
