Where Do I Take My Ticket?

by: skunkbucket on

Hello

I was issued a speeding ticket in the City of Kawartha Lakes. I intend to fight it (option 3), but can't find a concrete answer about whether I need to appear in person at the Kawartha Lakes Court Office, or whether I can appear at my local court office, or mail it in.

The back of the ticket has the court office address, hours and phone number and seems to have a built in "Notice of Intent to Appear in Court" form built into it. There is a place to sign, request a trial, request an interpreter, and request the charging officer attend the trial.

But nowhere on any part of the ticket does it say what to do with the ticket if I choose option 3.

I've googled this, I've used the search function on this forum, I've read ticketcombat.com all the way through.

I haven't seen anything that expressly states what to do with my ticket in order to request a trial.

Please advise, and if possible, show me where I could have found the information I'm looking for.

Thanks for your help
