Have There Been Any Changes To 11b Charter Challenges
Hi
I have a case that is now almost 14 months since I filed to fight it. My paralegal tells me there was a recent decision from the supreme court saying it can now take up to 18 months to bring a case to trial before an 11b can be filed. Is this true? Does anyone have a link to the decision?

I's ask your paralegal for the case. People here will be interested.

It was discussed in this post:
http://www.ontariohighwaytrafficact.com/post41106.htmlI left some new comments on the other thread, but my opinion is that the 18 month thing does not do away with the Provincial Offences 8 to 10 months, and you should still file your 11B.

I agree with jsherk. These decisions relate to Criminal matters. I don't see a change in the current traffic ticket court timelines.
