Red Light Camera's

by: jjory on

I know there seems to be quite a few question re: red light cameras and I have looked at all of those.

Does anyone know if there are any by-laws (municipal or provincial laws) that states there has to be signage indicating a red light camera?

I got a ticket in hamilton at Gage st and Burlington street east and I'm looking to fight it on the grounds that it would have been unsafe for me to stop for the red light as I would have ended up in the middle of the intersection if I had tried to stop. Does anyone know if that is any type of defense?

Thanks all.

As far as I know, there is no requirement for a sign. I'm no expert though.

I'm unclear as to why you would have been in the middle of the intersection. Was it turning yellow or was it traffic congestion or something?
