Notice of Trial still not received

Unread post by Soboss »

Hi guys, First I'd like to say this is an amazing forum with very informative users, thanks for keep this site up! Now, I received a speeding ticket back in November. I still remember the details and have it written down somewhere, it was quite a large fine since I was charged for 49km/h over the limit. I requested a trial date but I have yet to receive a notice of trial. How long can it take to receive a notice of trial and is there a possibility that my charge will be stayed because of the delay? Thanks

It can take several months depending on the jurisdiction.

Re: Notice of Trial still not received

I got a ticket in November of 2009 and requested a trial. I haven't received anything yet, that's almot 10 months.. I'm hoping that it will reach the 12 month period for the 11(b) argument. Should I send them a letter asking why I haven't received anything?
