Btw, arent they suppose to give you all disclosure in one try? Let's say i asked for disclosure in court. The prosecutor is supposed to provide "all " disclosure without missing one piece.

I have seen some judges behave badly, and just one sided the prosecutor. Even with the same reasons given in different court.

Good to know the limit when no sign. However for many people or noob driver, they have no clue there is a default limit. I bet they wlill be charged without knowing it.
Even if you ignore the whole "ignorance is not a defense" argument, default speed limit is one of the first things you learn about driving before even getting behind a wheel. It ...

Im not going to trial. Im just trying to learn something using that scenario. I went to court, but dont see any trial much. Maybe went there the wrong time. It would be hard to know which paralegal is good as well.

Re: Fighting Ticket: Early Resolution Meeting
Yes definitely get your disclosure of the officers notes and then decide what to do. Section 175(11) reads:
Duty of drivers when school bus stopped
(11) Every driver or street car operator, when meeting on a highway, other than a highway with a median strip, a stopped school bus that has its overhead red signal-lights flashing, shall stop before ...

I guess you been to lots of trial with OPP eh.jsherk wrote:What I have seen with OPP is that they schedule trial date based on officers shift, so 99% of the time the officer will be there. Very very rare for OPP officer not to show up for trial.

So you are saying court date is scheduled without considering your shift? I doubt that is changed.OPS Copper wrote:Our court is scheduled to coincide with our day shifts. I suspect this is becoming the norm.

Also when you go to rural area, there are many "highway" or road that are just there to connect few town. It isnt easy to know if that's Highway or just normal road.

Yes our great un-justice system again favors police/prosecutor in the matter of venue.
I have driven 5 hours one-way to go to court (and win).
Mine is like 4 hours of driving one way. And won the case.
I found out the relationship between the police and prosecutor and everyone that are there local are very good. If we are really going for a ...

Yup, in this ticket police said there is recording, but first disclosure didnt provide it. Of course if argue about it, judge will believe police over others. Will try to send a second disclosure, however dont expect them to send it since first one didnt. First request didnt specificly ask for audio recording, they might simply assume i didnt ...

Let's say the court for your offence is more than 200km one way away from your home.
Can you ask for the location change to different court near yourself?

In a case that you are speeding over 30km/h, cant see sign
If you are going to a new place, and went into the road and see no sign, then suddenly after some kilometer of driving, cops pulll you over.
Is that a reason in court or even no sign visible during the distance you drove that you are still guilty ?
Im pretty sure many had this experience like this scenario.

It seems police show up more often than before. And they are more friendly with the prosecutor, and their scheduling with police.
