$110 and no points......however, pending on the age of the occupants 3 seatbelt tickets which = $110 each and 2 points. Plus can not permit the vehicle to continue down the road in violation.....so possible cab fare??

then toss in officer discretion, pending the reason for that many ppl in there

Above is merely a suggestion/thought and in no way constitutes legal advice or views of my employer. www.OHTA.ca

a follow up question what if the said van gets in an accident and it takes a while for the cops to get to the scene and the driver lies about the number of occupants in the van and says there were only 7 in the car, and at a later date this information is disclosed, for eg. in a court hearing for insurance matters, can the driver be charged then, for eg falsifying police report etc.

Sounds like somebody might want to give the full story before we can give any helpful advice.
