Suuuuure, There Are No Quotas

by: FiReSTaRT on

And now, the Montreal Police union is saying it's true: police in Montreal have a minimum amount of tickets to issue everyday.

In fact, the Montreal Police Brotherhood says officers were recently told by their superiors to start issuing 28 tickets a day -- up from their last daily quota of 18.

---

The police department has raised its quota to make up for the more than $13.8 million in budget cuts from earlier this year, said the union.

Goes together well with the huge increases in charges laid when Ontario's municipalities were allowed to share in the revenue, especially during budget crunches.

What kind of a man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.

Usually around the middle of the month more radar traps.

This tamalie thing has stretched it a bit for the ticket stuff.

Cheers

In 12 years I have never heard of anyone getting in *EDIT*-ola for not writing tickets nor have I seen anyone winning a toaster for having the most tickets either!

Thanks for the congrats guys. Gettin' hitched next Saturday, but since I will have some family from overseas visiting, we'll put off the honeymoon for a couple of days. A buddy who couldn't make it to Stag #1 (of possibly 3 as there are to be 2 weddings on 2 continents - South America and Europe - and I already had my stag here) gave me a gift card for Aren't We Naughty.com lol
