If you've never been convicted or discharged before, then you will not have a criminal record at this stage. However, if someone requests a 'vulnerable sector check' on you then your incident with the police WILL appear. ALL incidents appear on vulnerable sector searches where there was any involvement with the police within the last 5 years, regardless of whether charges or convictions actually resulted. Vulnerable sector searches are quite common for jobs involving children, the elderly, and/or disabled (e.g. teachers, coaches, support workers, etc). Just know that there are different types of searches that employers can request and its therefore important to know what shows up and what doesn't. If this impedes your ability to get hired or qualify professionally for a credential, then you definitely need to retain a lawyer.
