Speeding 1km Over

by: cluelessInTO on

I was given a speeding ticket for 51 in a 50. Should I go to court and hope the cop doesn't show up or just pay? There are no points and the fine is less than $20 but i'm worried about my insurance going up. Any other defence I can use to get this dismissed?

Did he reduce the ticket or were you really doing 51 on 50? Can't believe that.

What were you actually doing?

Be forewarned, if you do go to trial, they can increase the speed to the original speed you were stopped for.
