I got a $110 ticket at noon today for 'stopping in the turning basin of a cul de sac'. Two other cars also got tickets. I looked up the bylaw and it indicated that "when signs have been erected there shall be no stopping in the turning basin of a cul de sac". There are no signs at all.
I have never fought a ticket before but I am going to challenge this one. Any suggestions on what I need? I took pics and have printed off the bylaw. If anyone has other advice I'd appreciate it.
Bring the pictures and the by-law, and present them to the Prosecutor. If everything's as you say it is, the charge should be withdrawn.
