Ticekt question. at fault accident. made a statement at the coll. center.
I got into an accident a month ago. No cops showed up so we went and did a report at the collision centre. Im wondering, because it's apparently my fault, when do i receive the ticket and if there's a chance i can fight it. I haven't received anything from the mail.

Re: Hit and Run and the car left the scene
Right,
So my question is, if i were to present this to the collision center, will i, at anyway, be partially at fault? Will the insurance see this as me being 25% at fault or something?

Hit and Run and the car left the scene
Please excuse the language in the video. I was approaching a traffic light controlled intersection when the light was going to turn red. The van on the other lane decided to change lane in order to make the light since the car at the very front was making a left turn. He made a sudden left causing me to do my best to maneuver my way around the van. This has caused me to not think about braking hard because the car would dive straight should the tires lock up and lose their grip. I got out of my car and looked at the dude and pointed to the parking lot because he didn't get out of his car. I pu...

Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
yeah , thank you , everyone. I'm just f****. Even officer told me that I'm f*****. I will talk to paralegal on Monday. I'm planning to tell them that it was my first experience, I'm young , unemployed, going to the University, don't want to financialy struggle due to severe punishment. I would rather ask them to suspend my licence forever than paying off 6,250 for ticket. I just destoyed my future. Be careful what you wish for. Suspended license and 3 tickets will take 5 years to clear up (i could be wrong but 3 years for tickets and 5 years for a suspended license under an insurance's eyes)....

I smell OP trolling. That or the OP simply should not be on the road of inadequate knowledge of the law.

These charges aren't something to take lightly. You can hurt your future for a good while if this isn't taken care of right. I know a friend whose policy got cancelled and due to this, he can't get a proper job due to distance and owning a car was way too much.. he's 24 with a g2.

Alleged cellphone and speeding ticket Recorded
My dashcam invest finally paid off or so i thought it did. I was travelling along the 401 going east from dvp. An opp stops me saying that I was speeding and was on my phone. Of course this was all a lie as i was following a truck thats barely going the limit and I was allegedly going 20 over. I had my gopro set up so that it could see the driver, the instrument cluster (although not vivid),and the road. I had it all recorded but the officer saw my gopro and ask that i turn it off. The officer then instead asked for my recording device that was securely mounted on my car behind me. The officer...

Re: Question about breathalizers
I've had this happen to me also.... apparently smoking can cause a false positive... Thats actually incorrect; cigarette and other tobacco smoke wont cause a false reading, but can damage the sensor in the device. Thats why police ask if youve recently smoked and delay the test if you have. The only way youre likely to get a false reading is through mouth alcohol. If youve recently consumed or used any product with alcohol (this includes mouthwash), the residual amount left in your mouth can cause a false, high reading. This is why police wait 15 minutes to conduct the test if youre recently ...

Re: Question about breathalizers
No, there is no requirement for the officer to provide a test sample in front of you. There are steps they must take to ensure the device is functioning correctly but these would be done prior to use, typically at the start of shift. First, the officer must ensure that the device has been calibrated within the past 14 days. Calibrations are performed by trained officers using an alcohol solution to ensure the device is obtaining correct readings. Many officers will also provide a test sample at the start of the shift to ensure there are no obstructions and the device is capable of obtaining s...

Question about breathalizers
If i was in a random road and a cop was stopping every car or in a ride program, Do i have the right to have the officer blow on the breathalyzer first to make sure it's working correctly "0" (assuming cops arent allowed to have alcohol while working)?

Re: Interfere With Traffic Ticket - Advice Needed
This teaches drivers to be patient and not inch their car in the middle on an intersection unless they're able to make good judgement that they will make it across the intersection without obstructing traffic.
As for successfully defending the ticket, i doubt that would be possible. The least they will do is lessen the charge but you will still be convicted of a charge.

request of fine extension.
I filled a extension request form for my fees. The registrar said that I will get a phone call or email from the JP/procecutor? if my request is either granted or revoked. It has been a 40 days and i haven't heard from them. No email or voice-mail. What should I do in the event that it was not granted? I had 30 days to pay which was 30 days ago. It has been 40 days and still no response. The registrar said it could take around 8-10 days for a reply so wait until then.

I just want to bring this thread to life to update my case regarding CAIA, and 2 HTA On my summon date, I requested for disclosure. The court then arranged another date (Date1). When Date1 arrived, they asked me that they will drop the 2 HTA, in return I plea guilty for CAIA. I said no and they said they didnt have all the proper documents and thus another date was issued (Date2) Prior to Date2, an 11b was filed. When (Date2) arrived they understood that there's an 11b and have said that they will drop CAIA and pay the 2 HTA in return. This is because (i think) they don't know if they will win...
