Re: Tailgating, We've all Done it.

Yea I agree, if you are being tailgated then just consider pulling over a lane. Don't get all frustrated and angry, that won't help your situation.

Re: passenger exit of vehicle

If the passenger jumped out on his own accord while the vehicle is moving, then I don't see how the driver/vehicle would be liable.

...Unless he was pushed out

Re: failing to show license

No its not the same as the no insurance...

Go to first attendance, and plead guilty, then you will go to see the JP and tell the JP you cant afford this ticket (make up a story), and then he will ask you what you can afford, and just tell him $20.

Other than that theres no real way to get this ticket off.

Re: failing to show license

You could try to show them your license, but usually if you already got the ticket, then they wont get rid of the ticket, but just lower your fine.

Theres no points for this ticket. Your best bet is to try to get a lowered fine.

Re: Absolute vs. Strict Liability...

Is there an online listing of all HTA offenses catagorized by type? (Absolute Liability / Strict Liability)

It would make a big difference as to how to structure ones defense strategy

Thanks
