You deserve the ticket.
I hate people who throw their buts out the window. Not only is it dangerous (could start a fire if conditions are dry enough) but it is also disgusting.
Why not just keep an ash tray in your car and dispose of the buts later?
Sounds pretty simple.

Re: right turn on red
Dhart-
You are correct.
When I took driver training 5 years ago that is exactly what I was taught by the instructor.
Stay in the lane you turned from.
I'm pretty sure on your driving test you would actually be docked marks for not following this rule.
As I said in my previous post though, if you were to watch an intersection I would say 80 ...

You think the driver who is turning right on a red light would not be at fault for hitting the driver who had an advance green? Even though he didn't correctly enter the median lane but as you said there is no requirement (legally) as to what lane you must enter after a left turn.

Re: right turn on red
You should yield the right of way to the cars with the advance green.
A right turn on a red light means that you are only allowed to proceed if the way is clear. No cars or pedestrians in your way who DO have the right of way.
The reason why a lot of cars just cut across both lanes is they may have to make a very quick right turn onto another ...

Re: Three-wheeled motorcycles....
M condition/restriction means you passed your motorcycle road tests using a 3 wheeled motorcycle which means you are NOT allowed to ride a two wheeled motorcycle with a M condition license.
If you have a M license this means you passed your motorcycle road tests using a two wheeled motorcycle which allows you to ride a two or three wheeled ...

Re: The Loud Muffler Backlash Begins...
You are right, if a driver has his/her volume cranked or there are lots of hearing distractions in the drivers car (passengers talking, cell phone, crying kids, movie being played loudly then yeah I could understand the argument of not hearing a loud piped motorcycle approaching near your vehicle.
But this technically should never be the case ...

Agreed
This is VERY true actually. I ride a motorcycle as well (a very quiet 83 Honda CX 650) and it is totally true if you have load pipes you ARE given more respect just simply because drivers around you are more aware you are there.
And as for the theory/opinion that you can't hear a bike until they pass you I will agree it is not as load until the ...
