I went with Traffic Ticket Solutions. I'm in Ottawa and I really didn't feel like driving to North Bay several times. It cost about $1,200 in fees so far. My first court date was at the end of September which they attended.
It keeps getting adjourned, I'm not really sure why. This has happened about 4 times now. They tell me it is because they haven't had a chance to talk to the prosecutor yet. I went and called the prosecutor myself once and he didn't recall being approached by TTC.
Not sure what's going on there.

Re: Entering the USA with stunt driving conviction
When I said "Computer here says you was stunt drivin'. Sorry, you can't come to Merica.", I was pretending to be the border guard telling me I can't go to the USA.
But like you said, it isn't a criminal offence, so I'll be fine. Hopefully.

Re: Entering the USA with stunt driving conviction
Thanks.
I was reading about how speeding is a 'Class C misdemeanour' in the US, and was worried that it might show up.

Entering the USA with stunt driving conviction
Hi, I was charged with stunt driving back in September (147 in 90 zone, 57 over) and am still waiting for the outcome as it churns through the system. I drove to Ogdensburg NY today just for a little day trip. I had no problems crossing the border. But it got me thinking. If I eventually get convicted of stunt driving, do I risk being denied entry crossing into the USA? By itself with no other HTA violations and no criminal record, is this charge going to make it harder to enter the USA? With a conviction like this, I'm wondering if I will eventually need to get a US Entry Waiver. And when the...

Stunt driving implications on insurance rates
Hi, I tried to call my insurance provider anonymously to ask some questions about stunt driving. The lady chuckled a bit and proceeded to tell me that there's no set amount. I asked if it depended on prior driving history, and that's when she told me she could not answer any of my questions. Let's say the court finds me guilty of stunt driving. I get fined $2,000 and pay it in full, and receive 6 demerit points. So what happens after that? I think my wife and I pay $1,100 or so for our car insurance. Our policy renews every September 1st. 1) Will my rates go up right away or only on the renewa...

Stunt Driving Questions (charged under section 172)
Hi, My representative attended the summons last week to acknowledge the ticket. Trial has been set for late October. I'm still hoping that the representative will be able to plea down to 49km/h+ under section 128. In a worst case scenario where the rep cannot do anything to help me, is the fine for a first offence going to be $2,000, or could I get fined the full $10,000 amount? Does a police officer have the discretion to charge under 172 or 128? I'm still kind of upset about all of this and keep asking myself why the officer could not have just charged me under section 128, considering the f...

147 in 90 zone - first offence - probable outcome?
Hi, I got pulled over for doing 147 in a posted 90 zone on hwy 17 heading east towards Ottawa where I live. My car was impounded for 7 days and the officer took my licence. I'll probably go with one of those traffic ticket places. I don't feel like driving to North Bay 4 or 5 times. The initial shock has passed. I'm not really concerned with the logistics of getting the car back. I've gotten rides from family all week to get to and from work. I've already chosen a company to try and help fight the ticket. That stuff is pretty much taken care of. Now to let this charge churn it's way through th...
