Can I object to the given date and ask them to set another date? What is the procedure for that?

I think it's possible to adjourn the court date.

Send two letters, one to the Prosecutors office and one to the Clerk of the Court and advise them that you are not able to attend on that date because you already have a doctors appointment, and ask them to please re-schedule for another date.

Thanks Jshrek and t3ch9.

I will try to find fax numbers of both the offices and fax them ASAP.

Today was a trial date for my "summons". No cop/no witness;) So case was dropped! Someone told me that I should go and get record from court and show it at the re-opening date which is scheduled in July after that fax of unavailability. Hope for the same kind of luck at that time also;)

First of all I don't know why it was there in first place. Two case numbers for one offence!

Thanks Jshrek and others for your help and guidance. I really appreciate your help.

It is going to affect her insurance regardless of the plea or if none of the drivers show up. She is at fault for the accident. At best she is looking at saving a few dollars in the fine.
