It will be viewed with suspicion. Of course if you're driving a s***-box, the cops probably won't be looking into it too closely. However, you should fix it up as well as you can.

I was stopped by an officer who was driving toward me, turned around, pulled me over and gave me a ticket for 49 km over limit.
