This happened today. I was going north on salem road to turn east onto the 401. The light was red for all but the cars coming down the ramp from the eastbound exit ramp. I can clearly see that there should be no traffic other then me. I start turning and see a car coming straight through the intersection?(to re-enter the 401 on the other side of the ramp.) We almost crashed!!! I know he was just trying to save 30 or so seconds but is his action legal? All ideas welcome. He was going well over the normal speed for an intersection. Thanks Cheers Viper1

Re: Curious about this

I am prreeety sure they have no through traffic there, the sign that was posted earlier in this topic. Because I remember my dad used to go through there when I was younger but now that I have started driving, I'm pretty sure you are not allowed to that there as well as almost anywhere that has a ramp setup like that.

Re: Curious about this

update today friday there are 2 brand new signs (one for each lane). It seemed dangerous with cars and trucks coming straight through. Maybe O.P.P. Whitby or town of Ajax reads this forum? Good work who-ever got it done. Cheers Viper1
