Back in April 2013 I've received an ticket in Toronto. Doing 83 in a 60 zone. I applied for a court date and today. I received a letter telling me to pay the ticket $120 and that I got three points. What can I do?

Go to the courthouse as soon and possible and explain you never received a notice of trial. It sounds like you were booked for a court date and for whatever reason you never received your notice in the mail. Your trial date comes and obviously you're not present. You're found guilty for no showing.

+1 You can try to get them to strike out the conviction and have the matter re-opened. The majority of JPs are sympathetic, as long as you are rational and professional about it.
