Genesis Ii Select Directional
How well does the Genesis II Select Directional Radar work in a rain storm, at approximately 360 m.
Is there any case law with regards to weather affecting the accuracy of these radar units?
Thanks

No, weather like rain or snow won't affect the accuracy of radar, only the range at which it can obtain a reading.

The only issue will arrise if can't obtain a patrol speed due to heavy rain fall. That is the only issue that could happen. It the accuracy doesn't change at all.

So if it is pouring rain, this does not interfere with the radar signal what so ever?

Re: Genesis Ii Select Directional
In heavy rain or snow, the moisture in the air will start to absorb the signal emitted by the radar, absorbing or reflecting it. This weakens the signal, shortening the range at which the radar will pick up a signal. This loss of signal does not actually change the reading however. Think of it like a radio station that you can get perfectly on clear days, but cuts out in bad weather.
