Hello everyone,

I'm rick, and I've been lurking here for a little while. I'm mainly a motorcycle rider and have managed to keep myself out of trouble with the law, so far 8) .

A lot of great topics and discussion that I've read here. Actually been a help or two understanding some of the HTA.

Rock on.

Hello: I am new to the sight and wondered if anyone knew what the booster seat regulation (in Ontario) was prior to the new law in 2005. I remember in 2002 it was the kid can get out of the booster once they were 40 lbs . Does anyone know what it was just before to sept 1st 2005?

Hello all,

Joined tonight after my first violation since being a teenager, (mid-thirties now, and thought this was behind me)! My first post is, "Multiple tickets, unsure of consequences..." in case anyone has any insights.

I have very little to offer other than opinion at the moment, but I just passed, (a week ago), my RIBO exam and am now an insurance broker in training. Perhaps that might help someone out a month or so down the road when I get some experience under my belt. I have been a contributing member on other user forums in the past, and enjoy helping out.

Anyways, looking forward to being able to contribute...

Blaine

Hi all. I posted already about the ottawa idling by-law.

Glad to be here. I used to have a bad record with driving offences, but I am glad to say I have grown up alot.

Glad to see that, what seem to be police officers here, seem to be reasonable. I have visited other message boards that they all seem to be tools to anyone who posts about a ticket, and tells them to plead guilty to everything. Seems to be a better attitude here.

Thanks all!

What I think makes this site so good from others is from both sides being "civil". Whether it be a civilian or police basher the mods take care of both these extremes very quickly. The idea is for good edcuational discussions from all, (and someone might throw in a donut joke or two  ) welcome!

Hey there,

I'm an OHTA site newbie and thought I'd drop by and say "hello". I've lurked on this site for a while and learned a lot about OHT Laws.

Just wanted to thank all the intelligent and super civil users and mods here for managing a great site.

Best regards!

Red light camera offence

Hello to all on this site. I have just received an offence notice for a red light camera offence & have been researching my options to paying this exorbidant money grab of $325. I have found the discussion on this site helpful, but am wondering, do I have to plead not guilty in order to have the fine amount reduced by the prosecutor? or can I negotiate a reduced fine by agreeing to option 2? The evidence is indisputable from the photos, but there are extenuating circumstances such as weather conditions (heavy rain). Thanks to all for your input.

Hi everyone, just joined this great website today - I spent about half an hour posting a message in the general section this morning - but now I can't find it anywhere? I probably violated some forum rule? I read the terms before I signed up....maybe it got moved to a different section? I searched for posts with my user name as the author....hmmmmm.....thanks!

Welcome aboard!

If your message violated any forum rule to the point where it was deleted, you would've been notified by PM. It might've just been a computer glitch. Maybe try again?
