Re: No Accident. False police report Filed. Need Advice!

Apparently what happened was it was reviewed again. The cop that made the police report wrote the last digit of the license plate wrong. It was a completely different car, and on the citation issued to the at fault driver, it was obvious.

My dad recently received a letter stating that he is being sued for a car accident he was involved in for bodily injury that occurred in mississauga. Here's the thing, he was on vacation that same time and drove his car to new burnswick. He received a statement of claim stating that his car was unsa...

Re: (Photo Radar) Bill 65-Safer School Zones Act

In the UK they also use alpr systems much more than here. Here only a small handful of cruisers have them. You gotta also remember in other places, speeds are set at a more reasonable rate than here. 90-100 on the main hwys here is too slow. Most people go 20 over, and cops usually dont ticket unles...

That could be part of it. Lowering speed limits to unreasonably low limits in many areas. I emailed a few mpp's. The scameras are out to get us.

Re: (Photo Radar) Bill 65-Safer School Zones Act

It didnt receive much media coverage when it was passed, it would have had more people outraged. Speed cameras havent proven effective at reducing accidents, but have proven to rake in more revenue. Here is some more info: http://nophotoradar.ca/ Now if you ask some seriously concerned parents how m...

(Photo Radar) Bill 65-Safer School Zones Act

Anyone heard of this bill being passed last year secretly last spring? Apparently they made the legislation for school zones only but also included community safety zones.

I doubt this will go well considering the opposition and the program being scrapped in 95.

Limitation period on provincial offense trials?

Friend of mine got a ticket for failure to stay in marked lane last december. I attended a prosecutor date in early may. I sent a request for disclosure long before and it wasnt provided. Prosecutor stated they will send a request for trial within 4-6 weeks. Been almost 6 months and no date. I sent ...

Ontario reintroducing Photo Radar/Speed Cameras?

Anyone know any more information? Apparently kathleen wynne mentioned trying to introduce legislation after more than 20 years of no speed cameras. My guess is that it wont happen, since they've tried before many times to bring it back after it was abolished.

Re: Challenging court jurisdiction

When people told me this I thought it was a legend too. I started looking up more into the topic. Case law into driving which the first Driver License was issued in 1929 in alberta for operators. People argue legislation gives them the power to regulate traffic, which it does under the constitution ...

Challenging court jurisdiction

Has anyone done this before? I know two people in ontario that went to court and had all there charges thrown out. One was for no proof on insurance and speeding. Individual asked questions about jurisdiction, and old driving case law, and had them tossed out. Another charged several times for no in...
