Fighting A Speeding Ticket In Quebec
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience fighting a speeding ticket in Quebec?
I understand things work differently there compared to Ontario. Is it generally even worth trying?
I have spoken with two ticket-contesting companies in Montreal. One claims that the district where I got the ticket in, St. Hyacinthe, always requires the defendant to be present, and hence I would be better off just paying the fine and receive the demerit points. The second company I checked with claims the contrary, that I would not have to be present in court and I can work with them remotely through the phone and email. I am not sure who is right.
I would appreciate it if you would share your experience in dealing with speeding tickets in Quebec or recommend a competent ticket lawyer who have experience dealing with tickets issued in St. Hyacinthe.
