and to be honest i dont think the officer should reduce tickets at the roadside!
if you are speeding then you are speeding end of story.
all im saying is that for the "lay" person who ...

Re: are we being treated unfairly because we plea not guilty?
it just seems that the prosecutor puts off anyone who is pleaing not guilty. we are always put at the end and ive had to wait for hours while they deal with everyone else.
yet someone who is pleaing guilty is in and out in a few minutes........
also trying to intimidate the uninitiated with........."well the ticket was reduced at the roadside and ...

are we being treated unfairly because we plea not guilty?
ive had some experience recently where i feel the prosecutor and/or jp are discriminatory towards people who are not pleaing to lesser charges and actually want to go to trial. has anyone else had this experience? what are your stories?

Re: new member with questions!
sorry i missed this part;
Hopefully there will be something in the manual that will prove helpful. If they refuse to give it to you, that's another reason for staying the charge. There's lots of case law out there regarding that, let us know if you need the links.
yes i would like the links that have reference to the disclosure.
thanks

and also thanks for this
"
If there's some part of the manual that says "don't aim it here" and that's where he aimed it, you could question the validity of the reading; conversely if it says "for motorcycles, aim the LIDAR here" and he didn't, you could also question its validity... unfortunately I don't know if it does/does not... i was at my appeal 9am court, i had to work at 2pm so i figured i had enough time right?

i was in court for 4 hours and then i had no choice but to leave to go to work. i had clearly stated to the prosecutor during recess that i need to leave by 1230 for work at the very latest and he said that he would get to me right away after the ...

Re: Parking near a fire hydrant
i had a fire route ticket this year and i went the full monty with that one, i went for a first attendace and the by law guy was a real bastard, so i requested a trial and ordered disclosure, they never provided it or sent me a conviction notice so im assuming that they abandoned it, maybe they are not used to disclosure requests for parking ...

if its just a waiting game then its worth using all resources
dont stop when you get the disclosure, read through it and look for things that you need further disclosure on
1) manuals and testing procedures
2) officers training
3) unclear notes
i think that its important to make them work as hard as possible for your conviction.
i have had ...
