Cannot hold an Ipod either Same fine and charge It does not even need to be able to transmit. The offence is driving while holding and not using. Using it is not even relevant to the charge.
Courts have accepted that officer knows what a cell phone looks like and what it looks like to be manipulated Therefore it does not need to be described.

Here in the Ottawa area this is one of the offences that they will NOT deal on. You either plead guilty or not and have a trial if you plead not guilty.
They will let the judge decide the fine and even then they just give time to pay.

Your SOL. Ontario has no fault. Meaning your ins pays for your veh and his pays for his. You just do not get an at fault charge if your not at fault. IE: you do not have to pay deductible if your not at fault and your ins does not go up.

it is actually a criminal offence and does not need to be reported stolen. If it is stolen that is just a second charge.

It is going to affect her insurance regardless of the plea or if none of the drivers show up. She is at fault for the accident. At best she is looking at saving a few dollars in the fine.

Ok one last time.
1. The officer does not have to charge the stunt driving that is up to their discretion. Reductions on the side of the road happens all the time. I do not work a highway but I have rarely encountered someone going 60+ km over the speed limit. 50 over is really fast for most roads. Therefore, if someone has a good record and they ...

I know the OPP charged a pedal boat driver with Impaired in 2011.
The charges were withdrawn by the crown so there was no precedent set.

Ad Obstruct police which is a criminal charge and much more serious than the hTA charge.

Going to call BS on this one/ Cops do not get to chose the court jurisdiction a ticket is issued to.
Cops can face police act charges if the do not show up for court so no cop is going to promise to not show up.
It is also a serious neglect of duty and deceit charge to issues tickets that there is no evidence for or made up entirely.(job ending ...

depending on where you live you may have to worry about premiums. I just saw an article and 43 out of 50 states have agreements with Ontario that convictions are reported back to home state. Plus a few actually impose the same penalty points and suspensions on their home state DL's.
I cannot find the article right off.

Qubec also issues warrants for un-paid tickets.
It is also really expensive to fight tickets in QC. If you want the officer there there is about a $300.00 charge to covers the officers time. If you win you do not have to pay. If you loose you have to pay that plus the ticket.

Example. admitted consumption or smell of alcohol is reasonable suspicion for over 80 to demand a roadside test for alcohol. Neither meet the reasonable grounds to arrest as you could be under the limit. The result of the alcotest, if a Fail then is reasonable grounds for the over 80 arrest.

sounds like you paid off the fines that got the Dl suspended in the first place.
However you were charged with driving under suspension and did not go to court over this.
Your non-attendance resulted in a conviction for driving under suspension and the new suspension.
