Not sure if I got a ticket or not

Hi everybody!

I got pulled over by an officer today and I'm not sure if I'm getting a ticket or not

To make a long story short, my wife and I were on our way to dinner at 7pm tonight when it was foggy and a little dark.
I will admit that as I approached the intersection the light was amber/yellow and as I drove through the intersection
the light ...

Re: Car accident, trying to obtain the police report

Thank you for your replies Stanton and Radar Identified...

Yes, my insurance company's filled with Jerks who do nothing more than just answer phones, put me on hold for 20 minutes only to be hung up on.
the reason i'm still with them is because of my accident back in 2008!. It would've been 5 years at the end of this year since that accident and i ...

Re: Car accident, trying to obtain the police report

Thank you for the replies iFly55 and Radar Identified.

The phone calls have stopped for now because it's the weekend.
I was stiff as a board in bed yesterday and had to answer all these questions from the insurance company..
The tow truck driver was trying to get me to agree to have the car fixed at his buddy's place
I wanted the car fixed at the ...

Car accident, trying to obtain the police report

Hi everybody,

To make a long story short, I was travelling southbound on Allan road towards Yorkdale and just before the offramp to the 401 and yorkdale, a BMW swirved into my lane and cut off the corolla infront of me.
The corolla slammed on his brake and stopped, I slammed on my brake and stopped but the van behind me did not. He plowed right ...

So, Traffic Officers DO have quotas for tickets?

I was watching Breakfast Television this morning and they ran a story about how the traffic officers at 31 division was given a quota of writing atleast 25 traffic tickets per day (one book). I thought I heard wrong until I got to work (making sure I didn't drive 1km over 60 because i live in the area) and googled up the article on the toronto sun ...

Disability Parking Permit

Hi everybody,
I just have a quick question about having a Disability Parking Permit from the ministry of transportation.

First I want to start off by saying that I don't mean to offend anyone on here who may have one, but I just have a serious question about this..

The route I take to work everyday requires me to drive past a certain hospital and ...

Speeding ticket but officer did not put down a fine amount

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to help out a buddy of mine, his father got a speeding ticket at Allen Road and Lawrence today.
Apparently the officer showed his father the radar gun with the speed of the vehicle, he was going 20km over the limit.
Everything went pretty much routine except when he looked over the ticket again at home
he noticed that the ...

Thank you everybody, had to battle for 11B motion in court

First,
I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everybody who spends a few hours of their day everyday to check up on us civilians and help guide us through the legal chaos that is our court system.
I also owe a THANK YOU to ticketcombat's website as well!

I've had 2 court cases this year...both a few months apart.
One was for an improper right turn ...

Re: Parking in a Fire Route

Awesome, thank you for the help.
I had originally taken a few pictures of the scene before I moved my car that day and made sure I
had the time and date stamped on the pictures. However, I went back yesterday (a year later) and noticed some new things...

The fire route is a long strip that extends from one end of the block to the other.
It's also ...

Re: Parking in a Fire Route

Thanks everybody for the quick response.
I guess I'm gonna go to trial without disclosure, good thing it's just a parking ticket huh? lol
It's a $250 fine, I don't mind paying but I think it's just too steep for a misunderstanding :(

Well I got ticketed at Yonge and Sheppard.
I was out with my fiancee and my dad who has a disabled parking pass and ...

Parking in a Fire Route

I got a ticket for parking in a fire route when I pulled over next to a Condo.
The parking officer just came up from behind my car and slapped a ticket on the windshield.
My fiancee (who is a licensed driver) was in the car at the time and quickly ran outside to let the officer know she's still in the car
the officer said "Too late its already ...

Speeding 20 over reduced to 10 over

Hi,
My co-worker just got a ticket last month or so for speeding around 20km to 25 km over the limit in Vaughan, Ontario.
Apparently he was driving down Rutherford road and he said there's an area where the speed limit drops from 70km to 60km.
The officer was slightly behind the 60km sign and tagged him for speeding before he even entered the 60km ...

Re: improper right turn

I used to live right behind that foresters building and I know EXACTLY what the original poster is talking about.

Usually during hot sunny summer days, a lot of police officers will park their cars up on the lawn between the road and the sidewalk and just stand there and talk.
Every once in a while they will look up and watch people turn towards ...

Re: Pull over to throw up, got ticket for parking in Fire Route

- pulling over as sick and to change drivers *good thing*
- you stop and get out, but fiancee doesn't get out as original intention, she doesn't watch where your going when you exit....BUT instead decides to start taking pictures out the window of a bylaw officer, just in case he comes over? - that doesn't pass the smell test

The picture was ...
