Short answer: no. They will be on your record for 2 years.
However, you shouldn't worry about the points unless you have so many, you're risking a license suspension. The insurance companies don't look at points.
Not completely true... Demerits don't hold much but it's the nature of the ticket usually plays a roll....But some companies do ...

If the premiums do go up to unaffordable # as a result of conviction(s), your parents can exclude you from the policy so the premiums aren't affected.

Re: Tried to run.
It's my understanding that they can't change the charge. you're there to fight the speeding they can't just change it to something else to suit their needs. (I believe this falls under double jeparody) This can only be done if the circumstances changed... IE.. you got charged with aggravated assault first.. then the victim dies so it's upped to ...

Re: Retaliation against witnesses
Is this a HTA matter or Criminal court matter?
Either way the law protects you... if you feel after testifying that your in danger call the police. after you leave court and the accused does anything its now under the Criminal code of Canada. Just as if you are summoned to appear in court your obligated to appear..

I have a ticket that got plead down to a minor... my lawyer "Pointts" is setting a resolution date for late march, my renewal is in February... so in February my policy will renew with no ticket... in ...

Motorcycles Rear Position & signals can be either Red or Amber.....He did suggest going with red for position lighting and signals as quebec & most US states require that they be red... you know incase I drove there... As a Class G1, G2, M1 or M2 driver, if you get two or more demerit points, you will be sent a warning letter.
At six points, you may have to go to an interview.
At nine points, your licence will be suspended for 60 days.

Can someone clearify Lighting on a motorcycle.
Ok I've searched and the HTA makes little sense... (I swear they do it on purpose.) But anyways this is what I got out of it..

Re: Careless Driving WTF I couldn't have been any more Caref

I have photo's of the accident and points of impact as well as measurements. Point of impact on other car was 1.5 feet from street level (Hyundai accent) my car's damage was focused at ...
