I have one that likes to pick up kids at a 4 way stop,She waits for you to get in the middle of the intersection then quickly hits the flashers, puts out the arm and either gives you the evil eye or honks her horn every morning unless the police are staking out the intersection which is often. She has done it to me as well as many others. You also ...

why careless
Just out of curiosity why do officers generally charge some people with a careless instead of a lesser offense. An example would be a careless instead of a following to close in a rear end collision.I haven't been charged but I know people who have and some get the lesser offense and some the careless.

Re: Seatbelt note
Hywybear What I meant was your post explains why my notes only cover the day I receive the ticket. The GP only writes the note for me when I get a ticket and for that day(he wants to see it). Also the prosecutor keeps it,for what I have no idea but it's no good to me anyway.Ive probably only had 4 or 5 notes in 22yrs.The notes are always written on a ...

Re: Seeking some educated opinions...Stunt driving charge
Those are the only type of statistics available for the papers to use and it isn't the same cities year after year on the list. What ever the numbers are Windsor defiantly has a higher than average amount of speed traps. We still have lots of Americans coming over that don't know what a km is and think they can get just hop back across the boarder ...

Re: Seeking some educated opinions...Stunt driving charge
I would just show up at first attendance,be remorseful and most likely the prosecutor will let you plea it down.Welcome to the speed trap capital of Canada and second in North America, you will be well advised to watch your step from here on out as the area is well known for terrible signage and police who take advantage of the fact.Windsor has a ...

Re: Passing on the right
It's an city expressway and the dotted line doesn't slowly close a lane it just ends. Also the width of the road does not change however parked cars become an obstical and speed drops to 50kph from 80kph.I think the rule is no passing on the right unless the other to car the left is turning or signaling to turn. Thanks again

Passing on the right
When two cars are traveling down a road side by side and road is marked with two lanes in the same direction(dotted white line) is it legal to pass on the right or hold position when the dotted line stops? What is the car on the right supposed to do,I would think drop back and yeild as the road becomes a single lane, or does it?

Riding the bike to the shop and almost got sidewiped
I was riding the bike to the shop for service today and nearly got sideswiped.I was traveling down an 80kph stretch of four lane road that drops down to 50kph where the dotted line marking the two north bound lanes ends yet the road stays the same width.I had to swerve to avoid a big pot hole and was passed on my right by a kid in an f 150 so close ...

Re: 103.1 (2) on a Power-Assisted Bicycle
I have been stopped a few times walking motorcycles down the street with out gear and the police didn't care as long as I wasn't riding, their only concern was that didn't get run down. How can you get a ticket for no gear while not riding? It doesn't show intent, don't you have to be on it?
