UPDATE: ALL CHARGES WITHDRAWN!!!
So, yeah, I met with the prosecutor today without representation. I presented the ticket, the certificate, and the situation. She withdrew all charges, no questions asked.
All in all, I'm pretty happy.

Location: Durham Region, Westbound 401 On-Ramp
Ticketed by: OPP
Date: 11-Oct-2011
Charge: Driver fail to wear seat belt assembly
Contrary to: Highway Traffic Act 106(1)
So that is what the law sees, driver, no seat ...
